JJRC H29G Quadcopter Review

The JJRC H29G is a great toy for the coming days of spring that is manufactured by JJRC. Some of its cool unique features are 3-D rollover, One Key Automatic Return, strafing flight, and return headless mode.

Some cool attributes of its appearance are that the silver on top gives it a bit of an alien or even Antarctic feel, and the blue color around each quad area hints to a futuristic marine appearance that will appeal to techie-minded users. Other colors include green and red highlights as well.

The camera is the standard entry level 2MP type, and offers practice at the entry-level category to begin to capture video and image.

Once you get used to the JJRC H29G drone, the sky is the limit for what you can accomplish with any other model, but you may love sticking with this one after you get used to it.

It weighs around 100g, gets its life from a standard USB charging system, and the fly time of 6-8 minutes along with a charge time of around 40 minutes is a typical ratio for many of this year’s models.

The JJRC H29G control distance is about 100 M, which some enthusiasts will claim is less than others within the same pricing point, but these are issues that will all play out when you really get the drone out and spend some time flying it.

The transmitter itself runs on AA batteries, and the transmission takes place over 4 available channels. The LED’s are attractive and just different enough to guarantee a great night flight endeavor, and if you want, you can charge it right from your computer.

This is basically an example of a drone that looks just as many imagined hobbyist/ entry-level offerings to appear, and we think the X-files/sci-fi inspired look will appeal to many.

The flip mode appears very solid on review videos, and the engineering and design on this and many others drones is just going to get better and better.
