Our friend Kyle runs a great video review page over on Youtube called Quad Bros. He is a youngster, but has a great in depth understanding of multicopters and the technology empowering them.

His latest one is a DJI Phantom 3 video review in which he highlights pros and cons about the new family of devices (Advanced and Professional). He also has a great opportunity for you to win the new Phantom 3, so it’s really worth watching. Enjoy!

The easier for someone like me will be able to fly it relatively easy, I have the little brother, a Flamewheel 450 that I have been Learning on but I have had to tweak the settings on my own, it will fly just not really well. I have gotten it to do the come home thing while testing my settings in a field but my settings leaved a lot to be desired. I would Love to have the Phantom, It waS what I wanted to buy but budget constraints left me where the most I could afford was the Flamewheel 450 and a used radio from my next door neighbor, he had upgraded his helicopter radio and he watched as I tried to fly the Flamewheel 450 off of a surplus radio from one of those duel rotor that tuen two different directions and has a prop that was on the same axis as the duel rotors to give the boom lift or down thrust to make it go forwsard or backwards. My neioghbor had a T8J radio that he sold me a few weeks ago and I am working on getting my settings where I can fly it without knowing it’s going to crash no matter what I do, I would love a Phantom where I know out of the box it will fly. I know DJI is the best name out there and I have been trying to get the money to buy a Phantom but little emergencies keep coming up, the last one was my wife’s truck needed fron end work and new tires. I hope I wuin this where I do not have to start a new Phantom fund and then have something come up that robs the phantom fund od everything that I have put back!!

I am impressed with a lot of the bug fixes that were holding back the P2 line. Not a very sexy “new” feature but a relief to those of us who had experience with some not so nice bugs 🙂

For me I really like the additions of the Inspires features. Like Lightbridge and the 4k camera. Going to the NAB show to check it out.

I’m a long time r/c’er and work in video, so a 4k camera is rocking with the DJI Lightbridge!

Glad to see it uses glosnas as well as gps.
    720p streaming is cool

There are several new features I like on the new Phantom 3 bu, the key one that captured my attention is the new optical sensors which would come in very handy when shooting indoors. Of Course, being able to shoot in 4k is also a huge plus. Since the shots are so spectacular to being with, why would we not want to capture them at the best resolution possible!

I can’t wait until I win this one and you send it to me 🙂

Great job on the review kiddo…
There are so many things about the “3” that fire me up… Being able to stream live video is a huge game changer for me & have plans to exploit it from day one… The ability to lock onto more sats is obviously a real plus & the sensors should prove to be another real benefit … Love what they have done with the transmitter, the pilot app, & flight sim… In general I think DJI knocked it out of the park on this one… I really don’t need the 4k so I have pre-ordered an Advanced model for myself but have introduced this unit to several of my friends so I am ordering 5 total… Wish they were all mine… haha
    Keep up the good work

With some many features, choosing one is tough. I would have to go with the Lightbridge connectivity, but the 4K camera is a very close second. Thanks for the awesome contest Kyle!

I like the idea the Dji has given the Phantom3 camera upgrade as well as a 4s battery for longer flight times. All the other features that mirror the Inspire 1 are a plus too! 🙂

The VPS borrowed form Inspire will allow for even better flying around indoor/narrow spaces where GPS is off

Here are the things I like about the DJI Phantom 3 Pro:
    – The camera does not have the fish eye look to it
    – The quality of the camera is great. The picture is really outstanding
    – Quality of flying.
    – I own a DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus and it’s good but the Phantom 3 is by far a great upgrade
    – I like the ability of the Phantom 3 to fly indoors and outdoors as well
I’ve owned several different drones from some great businesses but if I had to purchase another drone today it would be the DJI Phantom 3 Professional
