Drone Footage Shows China’s Blossoming Landscape
Each Spring, the beautiful flowers bloom and the browned grass that suffered through a winter of cold temperatures comes back to life in a resilient green. This is certainly a gorgeous sight to see up close, but imagine the sheer beauty of it when seeing it from a bird’s eye view. A drone pilot in China has made this dream a reality.
China Central Television has captured the beauty of Spring in China with some amazing drone footage. There are many different flowers and blossoming trees that are located throughout the country, which leaves no shortage of stunning colors once Spring time arrives. The largest Azalea forest in the world is actually located in Guizhou Province.
In March, the city of Huangling turns to gold with the blossoms from rapeseed flowers. These fields make the city look stunning from above as they contrast with the black and white homes scattered throughout the mountainside village. Guihou Province, which is part of Southwest China, is covered in cherry trees in addition to the azaleas. With hues of pink, white, purple, and red, the city looks astounding from above. From late March through mid-May, you can also see the crabapple trees blooming throughout the province.
From April to May, there is also a Peach Blossom festival that takes place at the Beijing Botanic Garden. It of course features peach blossoms, which come in the variations of mountain and flower peach. Luoyang National Peony Garden is also a popular floral sight. Peonies are popular throughout the entire country, but are more prominent in this garden. Taking up nearly 30 city blocks, spectators and lovers of all things floral are able to see approximately 400 varieties of peonies.
When viewing the drone footage, it is clear that China is truly a gorgeous country that is blooming with fragrant colors that litter the mountainsides during their Spring season. To have the ability to view such popular destinations from above and from the comfort of your home really is a treat.
