Ok, this is another silly drone stunt that a Riverdale, Maryland UAV dealer and service provider pulled off for this Thanksgiving holiday to promote their Black Friday sales specials. They’ve tethered a turkey to an octocopter and fried it.

Normally, we dislike self-serving stunts like this, but doing something silly is more acceptable during a holiday weekend when we do not have to take things so seriously. Most of our readers come from the United States, we can just wonder what the rest of them – unfamiliar with Thanksgiving traditions – think when watching this video.

At least they have demonstrated some good piloting skills with the DJI S1000 when lowering the hefty piece of turkey into the frying pot in a precise manner.

The one thing that seriously put us off about this video is that the frier was clearly turned off. Maybe try to save a turkey next year!
