Flytrex Introduces Flytrex Sky Delivery Drone and the Sky Platform

How would you like a drone that you can send over to Grannie’s house for a daily dose of her good old fashioned brownies? Flytrex Sky promises just that. It is the world’s first cloud connected consumer drone with delivery capabilities operating on its revolutionary cloud based Sky Platform.

Flytrex, a consumer drone technology company, has launched its premier drone, Flytrex Sky, the world’s first consumer drone that operates over the cloud and comes equipped with delivery capabilities. Flytrex Sky operates via its Sky Platform, a revolutionary, scalable, cloud-based platform designed for management and operation of delivery drones.

Flytrex Sky is equipped with unique delivery capabilities through the Flytrex Messenger app, available for Android and iOS. The Flytrex Messenger app offers a straightforward delivery solution to friends and family. The Sky platform uses ground-breaking Collaborative Piloting technology that allows both sender and recipient control Sky at different stages of the flight. The user selects a destination contact and Sky takes off automatically to the receiving party who can fine-tune the landing upon delivery arrival.

Unlike most consumer drones on the market, which are controlled with physical remote controls, users can also fly the Flytrex Sky via theFlytrex Pilot app, which is available on Android-powered devices and iOS. It does, however, support installation of any traditional remote from the leading brands. When used together with a remote the pilot can enjoy dual-control mode, which lets you switch controls between 3G using the mobile and the remote, this is done with a button on the mobile app. 

The Flytrex Pilot app allows users to fly Sky manually through a virtual console or an autopilot GPS-enabled feature that allows users to mark a point on the map and direct Sky to fly there.

Flytrex Sky is capable of delivering a typical smartphone over a distance of 7 miles (11 km) within 2-3 meters accuracy and can deliver up to 1kg to shorter distances.

The maximum hover time of the Flytrex Sky is 32 minutes.
